How can I split the video and the chat between different computers?
On the Widecast homepage, note the links at near the chat and video elements.
If viewing in a group, consider only showing the solo video page on your projector.
You could then assign someone with a different computer to avoid the video feed but to focus on the chat feature.
What if the audio doesn't sync-up with the video?
Refresh the page!
Make sure there aren't 5 people using the same wireless router to access the same video feed.
Try to find a faster computer and internet connection.
The recordings of the sessions will be posted later (usually by the next day at noon) on Kairos-Media, so you could replay them skip-free at that later time.
What about "discussion time?"
There are three types of discussion:
The live audience (in Lansing, MI) breaks down into groups of 5-6 people.
The small groups that are together "out there" watching will do discussion as a group.
The individual solo participants can come to virtual discussion rooms.
For method three above, during the first week, we tried tokbox.com, but it didn't work because people lacked headphones and microphones.
Therefore, individuals should make sure to have a pair of headphones and a microphone and sign-up and download Skype.
